THE NATIONAL GRAND CAFÉ BAR
High Street, Belfast

The National Bank Building on High Street is one of only a handful of Victorian buildings in the area to survive the WW2 blitz. Consarc acted in the role of project architect and interior designer for the sensitive restoration and reorganisation of the existing listed bank building to provide cafe, bar and night club accommodation over 4 floors. A traditional ‘tea-room’ and guest lounges are housed in the existing building which addresses High Street, whilst a more contemporary approach has been taken with the extension.
