Hampton by Hilton, London City

Located in London, this 278-bed Hampton by Hilton is the brand’s first hotel in the City. Delivered for McAleer & Rushe Contracts UK, the project combined a full refurbishment of the existing building with the construction of a new five-storey extension at the rear of the site. The first phase focused on upgrading the original building, allowing 129 rooms to be handed over early so the hotel could welcome guests ahead of the full completion.

The second phase added 149 rooms in the new extension. All work was carefully planned to avoid disruption to the operational hotel and maintain a smooth guest experience. Sustainability was central to the approach. Retaining and upgrading the existing structure avoided 1,865 tonnes of CO₂e, an 84% reduction in embodied carbon, setting a strong example for low-impact urban development.
