This major hotel development in Hammersmith provides 400 guest rooms across two blocks of 12 and 8 storeys, contributing to the wider regeneration of this busy area of west London. Built on the site of the former Magistrates Court, the hotel also includes a full-service restaurant, integrated parking, and improvements to the surrounding public realm. The design responds carefully to the local streetscape, using a mix of materials to break down the building’s scale and create a contemporary, welcoming presence. Construction was delivered using a reinforced concrete frame and prefabricated bathroom pods to enhance build quality and reduce time on site. The project faced significant logistical challenges due to its position beside a live railway line and over a major sewer. Careful planning and close coordination with stakeholders were essential to maintain safety and programme efficiency throughout the build. Completed ahead of schedule, the hotel adds much-needed visitor accommodation in an area well served by public transport and local amenities.
