Marriott Hotel, Oxford

Consarc acted as Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor for the development of the new Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Oxford city centre. Located on Paradise Street between Oxford Castle and the canal, the 140-room hotel opened in 2019, offering contemporary accommodation with amenities tailored to both business travellers and visitors to the historic city.

Designed by Urban Innovations, the building employs brick and natural stone finishes that complement Oxford’s traditional architecture while maintaining clear sightlines to landmarks such as the castle. Each guest room features modern comforts alongside artwork inspired by the city’s heritage. Public areas include a flexible lobby and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views over Oxford’s skyline. The on-site restaurant and bar focus on healthy, seasonal dining, creating an engaging social hub. The hotel successfully combines modern hospitality standards with sensitivity to its historic context, enhancing Oxford’s accommodation offering.
